Dennis Farina died in July after suffering a blood clot in his lung. He was 69. Perhaps best known for Law & Order, Farina was a police officer in Chicago for 18 years before becoming an actor. Over the course of his career, Farina starred in films like Midnight Run, Get Shorty, and Saving Private Ryan, and appeared on television shows such as Miami Vice and New Girl. He also served as host of Unsolved Mysteries. His last previous HTG credit was 2010's Writer's Block.
Fortunately for fans of the late actor, he will get one more opportunity to be on the big screen in HTG Hollywood. December 27 will see the opening of ALS' Falling at My Own Pace. Directed by Sam Mendes, the film concerns a man named Jake (played by Josh Brolin) who, although he seems to have it all, finds himself on a rooftop considering jumping.
"We've got it set as our big Christmas film" explained an Amyland executive. "It's heavy drama that I am sure will engage the viewers."
