Crowds Enter Mall With Long Lists and Taste for Breakfast Sandwiches

Black Friday at Mega Mart was bustling from the start, but according to mall operators, sales went well and with few problems.

The busiest shop was reported to be the toy store, where new figures were on display.

"That Bob Ford sure is a cutie" stated a happy lady as she grabbed several for gifts. "I just wish they were life sized."

New figures were reported to be slightly cheaper than other toys of similar type. No comments were made if this would be permanent or temporary.

"I need to get more movies released so I can buy a lot of those Bieber toys" an HTG producer exclaimed. "I might even get a few for my dog, if she stays off the naughty list."

Happy holiday shopping to all!

Film Finished to Fill Friday

With December 6 marking a second Friday without a release in HTG, producer Marlowe knew that something had to be done about it.

"I had a partial script sitting around for a couple years" the Miracle Pictures head stated. "So I figured I could finish it up and get it out instead of having another empty week."

Marlowe's La-Z-Boy-themed film was inspired by Mac's Ikea movie from the past. In Marlowe's film, a man (Paul Rudd) waits for a new recliner to be delivered while spending time with a neighbor (Seth Rogen).

"There's a lot of conversation" Marlowe continued. "And sitting around. You know how deliverers can be."

How to Sit in a La-Z-Boy Recliner will open on December 6. It is directed by Judd Apatow.

Names Given, Bee Amazed

The guest host... or guest hosts, as it turns out to be... for TCW XV have been revealed in the newest episode of the TCW television show. And, to the mild surprise of the Happening staff, the names were not among those theorized for the past several weeks.

We shall not say who those people are here on this post... watch the episode... but we can say that the two people are well known in the HTG Hollywood community.

"I was shocked" expressed Happening reporter Buzz when he discovered the names. "I thought it would be either Justin Beiber or Hulk Hogan. Oh, well."

TCW's next major wrestling event, TCW XV, opens on December 20.

TV Show Features Actors From Cult Comedy, But They Play it Serious

Although best known for their offbeat comedy work in the Napoleon Dynamite film and TV series, cast members Jon Heder and Efren Ramirez assured attendees of a press conference that there's some drama in their skill set as well.

"I appreciate being recognized for ND" explained Heder, "but I've done dramas as well. Being given the opportunity to do an episode of APB's Twilight Zone series was an honor. I'm sure that when people see it, they'll appreciate it."

Appearing in this Tuesday's episode titled "The Moaning Man," the Miracle Pictures-produced show is based on an episode of the classic Zone series called "The Howling Man" by Charles Beaumont. Although the two stories end differently, Marlowe's version was greatly inspired by the first.

"There is some tongue-in-cheek going on" Marlowe stated. "It's played for dramatic purposes, but with something that HTG Hollywood citizens can relate to."

The story centers on a man (Jon Heder) who discovers a prisoner (Efren Ramirez) held in a remote cabin. Who is the man? Is he guilty of what he is accused?

The Twilight Zone continues its bi-weekly showings on Tuesday night on APB Television.

New Signs Show Unhappiness to Filmmaker

Citizens of HTG Hollywood may have noticed this week the increase in billboards around the city. The signs, usually designed to advertise a product of some sort, have a different function.

These signs feature the scowling face of singer-actor Justin Bieber.

Is it a coincidence that the billboards were erected in certain locations, ones frequented by megaproducer Pedro of Baseball Mogul Productions and Amyland Studios? According to a representative of Bieber, no.

"For weeks," began the rep, "Justin has attempted to find out if the footage that he shot for Serial Killing for Dummies 7 was used. Makers of the movie would never say. Now, on the day that the film opens, Justin wants to send a message to Pedro. If he bares his heart and soul to you, you had better take it. Not being in the film was devastating to Justin."

A source from Amyland Studios was more casual.

"There is no guarantee that if you have some footage done, that it will be used. Apparently it wasn't needed. It's that simple. Maybe next time."

The next installment of the prose film opens today.

The C in CHA Stands for Cheap, According to Producer

Relationships are a tricky situation in the entertainment business. Although Marlowe of Miracle Pictures is one of Pedro of Amyland Studios' biggest supporters, the former has been forced to take the latter to court.

The case revolves around the recent film Sharknado 2: Sharknadoier. Although Marlowe put together a poster for the film and was used throughout ads and the site, he has yet to be paid for it. In addition, Marlowe appeared in the film... In two roles! With a reasonably high Talent Score, Marlowe wasn't expecting a typical 9.8 million dollars. But to date, he hasn't received a penny.

"Sharknado 2 is raking in millions" remarked a rep from Marlowe. "He's not mad about the situation, but to say that he's disappointed is an understatement. What makes Pedro think that he can utilize the skills of someone and not have them compensated? It's not right."

Although a court date has not yet been set, it is expected to be resolved soon.

Amyland Studios has not replied to questions concerning the matter.

Sharknado 2: Sharknadoier, an Amyland Studios release of a Baseball Mogul film, is currently in theatres.

Actor's Behavior In Question, Enjoys Marathon Go Fish Sessions

The rumor mill is at it again. The new gossip claims Diplomat's Son actor Michael Fassbender was asked to leave the premiere party of the film on Tuesday night.

How come?

A so-called “source” says that he was grabbing his co-stars and waltzing around the room with them. He lit a cigarette indoors and that was the point it had gone too far. Michael was allegedly asked to leave. He was in good spirits but it was becoming a bit of a handful for the other guests.

The rumor also claims that Fassbender's co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Vincent Cassel looked a bit uncomfortable with his antics.

Really? Not. At. All.

Despite the fact that Fassbender did rely on the help of a friend to make his way out of the bash, he was in no way asked to leave. A rep for Fassbender, who was actually at the party, tells Happening the story is “...incorrect. Everyone was glad that he was there and no one was asked to leave early, but hey, feel free to just make it up, huh."

Diplomat's Son, directed by David Fincher, produced by Eric's Frontline Films and released by Horizon Pictures, opens Friday.

Yuk!

Recently back from an extended vacation, Flip Brothers member Ritchie Steven has had to clear the air about a rumor that he has encountered.

A story that’s been floating around claims that RS was forced to strip down on an airplane after a fellow passenger allegedly vomited on him. According to the gossip, a woman aboard the same flight as Ritchie supposedly spewed all over her window... and RS’ cashmere sweater.

But, according to a spokesperson from Flip Brothers Studio, that never happened.

“I heard about that” the rep stated. “That is utterly made-up. I don’t know where that stuff comes from. It’s fantastic, it sounds like a great story. I just hope it doesn't dissuade people from enjoying a great meal like one you'd find at Flip Brothers Pizzeria.”

Here He Comes to Save the Day!

A new arrival has found its way onto the release calendar.

A yet-to-be-named superhero film is set to open on December 13. Helmed by Paramore, it is described as "An original superhero short film from Paramore and Four Tops Studio!"

No word has been given on what kind of film... action, dark, light-hearted... it will be, nor any talent connected to the project. But some at the Happening offices have a theory.

Could this be the big thing that Justin Bieber has been working on in private? Thoughts have so far leaned to either Serial Killing for Dummies 7 or TCW XV. But would a superhero movie be more in the singer's line?

"I could, like, so totally see Justin as a superhero" remarked a young fan when she heard the news. "He's, like, super cute and super macho. He could beat the bad guys and look good doing it. Oh, he could even sing his own theme! I sure hope it's him."

Emails to Paramore have yet to be answered. When will we learn more of the film? We at Happening are looking forward to it.

Actor to Make TV Appearance

November 12 marks a new week for the current session of HTG TV. With twelve weeks available, more television shows are possible. Starting its bi-monthly rotation on Tuesday will be Miracle Pictures' adaptation of The Twilight Zone. Based on the iconic series from Rod Serling, Marlowe of Miracle Pictures plans on a mixture of retelling classic stories and some originals of his own.

Tuesday's episode will be The Last Rites of Jeff Sapperstein, adapted from The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtleback that appeared fifty years ago on the original show. Marlowe's version will star Seth Rogen in a rare HTG TV appearance.

"It's about a fellow who rises from his coffin at his funeral" explained Marlowe. "Needless to say, he freaks out a lot of people."

All starring will be Danny McBride and Sarah Silverman. The latter appeared with Rogen in Marlowe's A Summary Protest.

The only series regular will be Will Arnett, who takes the place of the late Rod Serling as the show's narrator.

Visit The Twilight Zone and other shows for week 2 on Tuesday, November 12.

Bieber Sleeps, Enjoys Dreams of Nachos and Ice Cream. Rocky Road, Perhaps

Could that be Justin Bieber sleeping?

It is. According to representatives of the singer/aspiring actor, he has been doing so much last-minute work on a project that he has been exhausted. What is that project? The reps would not say.

Rumor has it that the project is a sequel to an HTG film. Which one? Bieber has been allegedly been connected to more than one... The upcoming Serial Killing for Dummies 7 and TCW XV.

"He might be a serial killer's victim" pondered a local movie fan. "Then again, I could see him making an appearance at a wrestling event. Who knows."

Serial Killing 7 enters buzz soon. TCW XV will appear in December. It looks like we will not have to wait long for the answer.

Say it Isn't So, Justin!

Perhaps the schedule changes for Amyland Studios' Serial Killing for Dummies 7 can now be explained. According to an inside source at the studio, they are trying to distance the film from the recent misbehavior of singer Justin Bieber.

According to rumors, the Biebs was recently spotted leaving a brothel in Brazil.

"I hear that he spend over three hours inside Centauros in Rio de Janeiro" remarked the ALS insider. "There are pictures of his trying to sneak out of the place with a bed sheet over himself. It didn't work."

Another rumor claims that Bieber was kicked out of his hotel for breaking rules.

"That might not be true" continued the source. "It might be something as simple as a security concern for the hotel. Bieber has mobs of well-wishers outside of those places and the businesses are concerned for the safety of other guests."

Representatives for Bieber have not returned calls concerning these rumors.

Bad Justin Bieber or not, Serial Killing for Dummies 7 opens on November 22.

You Have Just Entered...

Producer Marlowe of Miracle Pictures announced today that he will be doing a second show for this upcoming HTG TV session... The Twilight Zone. Having owned the franchise for some time, Marlowe has wanted to use it for a significant period.

"The original intent was a movie or two" Marlowe explained. "But, with time available for television, I thought that I'd give it a try. It wouldn't be weekly... Just when needed, I think. But I'm looking forward to the opportunity."

Based on the 60's anthology television series that spawned other TV shows, a film and other works based on stories from the series, Marlowe's intent is to reimagine some old favorites.

"The first one that I've done is a modern retelling of a James Best class. I have other reworkings in mind, plus some original material. We'll just have to wait and see what comes out of the ol' noggin."

The new session of HTG TV opens on Tuesday, November 5.
