Protests Erupt at Local Theatre, Breakfast Sandwiches Served to Onlookers With Coupons

Sign-holding protesters arrived early on Friday in front of an HTG Hollywood theatre to voice their disappointment in an upcoming Possum Lodge Studios release, XXC: Women on Top. The crowd, composed mostly of women, believe that the theatre, just five blocks from an elementary school, is preparing to show an adult film.

"Women on Top?" one protestor angrily cried. "That's disgusting! They proudly promote the filth. And they know good and well that children come by here! They need to put a stop to this right now!"

A representative from Ship of Fooles Productions was quick to disagree with the assessment given by the protesters.

"XCC: Women on Top will be the newest documentary in the studio's MMA franchise" the rep explained. "There's nothing 'adult' about it. The women will be involved in mixed martial arts. Leona Deschanel and Tracy Garcia will be battling it out. Nothing friendly about that. There will be some talk about it, including from color commentator Steven Seagal, fan Howie Mandel and narrator/producer Lucian Carter. It's a sports documentary. That simple."

When the protestors were informed of the confusion, many left. But others remained.

"Look at those skimpy outfits!" a woman shouted. "It's just sex sex sex with these people. We have to think of the children!"

Discussions are currently being held between the protestors and the studio. XCC: Women on Top will open on October 30. It is currently up for buzz vote.

Today's Nugget of Truth, 9/11/15

Preview of Horror Shorts Movie Leaked, Hot Dog Vendors Threaten to Strike

Due to unplanned circumstances, Flip Brothers Studios has pushed its two upcoming movies each back a week. UWC: Bloodbath is advertised as "Bigger, Better, Bloodier." The second of Mr. Grell's wrestling events, the studio is keeping tight-lipped about the card.

"We'll be advertising it shortly" a studio representative stated. "We don't want to blow the surprises too soon."

The second movie to be set back a week is Horror Days, a continuation of horror short movies and an HTG TV series. On slate this time so far is a film based on a franchise not owned by the producing Ritchie Steven. As of this writing, RS has not heard back from the owner of the property to make sure that he can release the story. The other half of Horror Days is titled Daydream, a Lonely Island story from producer Marlowe.

"More shorts are invited to join" explained an FB staffer. "Please let us know if you want in on the fun."

Horror Days is slated for October 2. Also set for the month is PJ Flip's Ash vs. The Wizard of Oz and Lucian's XCC 4: Women on Top.

Auction Ends in Victory Franchise-Rich Studio, Promises He Will Allow No Justin Bieber Casting for It (Unless Miley Cyrus is Also Cast)

After a week of light bidding, the Warcraft franchise has fallen into the hands of Miracle Pictures. Encompassing games, books and other varied media, the property was recently released by producer Aaron Rowland. Aaron is in semi-retirement on an undisclosed tropical island, so decided to get Warcraft into the hands of someone who will provide use for it.

Currently valued at 75 million dollars, Lucian Carter declared that Warcraft could be worth as much as 300 million. Miracle Pictures grabbed it for 275 million.

"It seems like an exciting opportunity," remarked Miracle Pictures chief Marlowe. "In fact, the world of Warcraft (pardon the pun) is big enough that I think multiple films can be based upon it."

Marlowe also informed this reporter (ha?) that he has had multiple requests on purchasing the product. The MP head insists that it is not for sale.

"Anyone who wants to pen something for Warcraft is invited to get in touch with me."

Actress Denies Being a Witch, But Enjoys Great Taste of Diet Dr. Pepper

Celebrities are victims of rumors on a regular basis. Beauty Charlize Theron is no exception.

"She's a witch! I can prove it!"

Such was the exclamation of an anonymous visitor to the Happening offices this week. He wished to remain unnamed in fear of reprisal from the Oscar-winning actress.

"I'm happily married, really!" he explained. "But every time I see Miss Theron, I become more and more enamored with her. It's a love spell, I tell you!"

When asked why the actress would cast such a spell, the accuser was quick with a response.

"So we'll see her movies over and over! I remember seeing Escaping Dead Island a couple years ago. I must have seen it a hundred times! Now she's coming out in another film. I'll grow broke at this rate and my wife will leave me!"

The documentary XCC: In For a Penny will open on June 26th. Theron has been slated at the narrator of the film. Martial artist Steven Seagal also appears doing color commentary.

"Someone has to help me! I bet she's in a coven somewhere. Yeah, that's got to be it!" cried the distressed visitor.

XCC: In For a Penny, the second in a series of films covering the mixed martial arts franchise, was written by Ship of Fooles and directed by Steve James.

Peanut Dust Causes Illness in Circus Visitors, Those Affected Given Rides on World's Largest Clown

Britney Spears is not “secretly planning a wedding” with HTG mega-producer and star Chris Harmer, despite rumors floating around the city. A source close to the pop star exclusively told Happening that the story is untrue.

According to the gossip, “They talk about getting married all the time.” The rumor alleges Spears has “already started working on the details of her big day,” and claims “the guest list will be limited to close friends and family, plus anyone who positively supported any of Harmer's projects."

“She wants something simple, but memorable, nothing too over-the-top,” a supposed source claims. And that’s not all. The rumors further allege that Spears and Harmer “had planned to marry after her Las Vegas residency ends in December and before the release of 'I Am Harmer 2.'

Don’t go buying a gift just yet. Again, there is no wedding in the works.

"Isn't Chris already married?" pondered a visitor to the Happening offices.

Chris Harmer is next set to star in Monty Python's Harmergedon, a fantasy parody from Miracle Pictures. A release date has not been set.

Tomato Harvest Begins Early, Bug Investation Avoided Through Use of Kim Kardashian's New Perfume

Once a source of movie magic, actor Eddie Murphy's luck in HTG Hollywood has been non-existent. In fact, the star of The Nutty Professor has yet to be hired in more than 10 years of the city's existence.

"I thought when Miracle Pictures bought the Beverly Hills Cop franchise, poor ol' Eddie would get some work," stated a local movie fan. "But, in usual fashion, the guy who runs that company is taking his time with getting the project done. Also, I hear that Eddie's Axel Foley isn't even going to be the primary star of the show. It'll be some younger guy! Eddie just can't get a break, huh?"

Fortune for Murphy continued to diminish when he arrived at the casting call for Matthew Atwood's Space Travel on a Budget. Eager to get hired, Murphy was disappointed to discover that the agents had meant to call the next person on their alphabetical list of talent... Bill Murray.

"You should have seen his face," a worker at the meeting witnessed. "He wanted to try out anyway, but they said no. He cried out that he was Pluto Nash, but that didn't impress anyone. Pity. I liked that movie. Why won't people hire Eddie?"

According to those on hand, Bill Murray did nail the part for Space Travel on a Budget. He will star as Demitri, an apparently lazy and dumb engineer who is set to guide a young man to the stars.

Others set to star include Zooey Deschanel, Adrien Brody, Noomi Rapace and Kodi Smit-McPhee. The comedy has Sofia Coppola as director. Space Travel on a Budget, a Miracle Pictures release of a Slacker Mafia Films production, opens on June 12.

No, Kate Upton does not appear in it.

Ice Cream Recall Ignored During Dairy Week Celebration

After a five-year absence from the HTG big screen, producer Mattricks of Slacker Mafia Films is returning this summer with his new comedy, Space Travel on a Budget.

Sheltered fifteen-year-old Albert Tanner (Kodi Smit-McPhee) tracks down his idol, reclusive science fiction novelist and disgraced rocket engineer Demetri Stanko (Bill Murray), with the hope that he can spend the summer learning under his guidance. He is instead drawn into an underground space race, complete with an eccentric philanthropist starman, a beautiful ageless extraterrestrial and a Dutch cult. However, the biggest obstacle of his summer might just be the girl who lives down the hall.

Directed by Sofia Coppola, the movie is scheduled for June 12. Advertising is expected soon on the HTG message board. PJ Flip, after his successful campaign for They Came From Planet Earth, has been hired for poster work.

Joining Smit-McPhee and Murray are Zooey Deschanel, Emma Watson, Naomi Rapace, Adrien Brody, TJ Miller, Gael Garcia Bernal and Aasif Mandvi.

"A full-length comedy by the unicorn killer himself? I'll be there!" exclaimed a local movie goer.

Space Travel on a Budget opens on June 12.

KFC Raided, Illegal Crotchet Ring Lands in Slammer

Tentatively scheduled for June, the fate of Decepticon Liberation Front's comedy Peak Evil is still unknown. The description so far of the movie is as follows:

In an evil world dominated by supervillians one not so evil scientist formulates a theory of peak evil. His theory posits that the world is approaching the maximum output rates of evil after which it will entire terminal decline and run out. He tries to warn the world at large about the impending disaster that could bring society itself crumbling down but is scorned and ignored. Taking it upon himself to do something about it, he becomes the first superhero in a generation.

A cast has not been mentioned for the movie yet, nor a director. Will we be seeing the release next month?

"That Teufel fella plays his cards pretty close to his chest," stated an industry insider this weekend. "But, with the success of The Warriors, he can pretty much do whatever he wants. I sure hope Peak Evil comes and comes soon. We'll see, I guess."

Who do you feel should star in Peak Evil?

Shakespeare Play Cancelled, Waffle House Takes Up Former Theatre Space

Shannon Elizabeth did not receive a hickey during production of Miracle Pictures' Flying Saucer Movie, despite rumors floating around town.

The actress, who is making her first HTG appearance in the upcoming film, was spotted with a red mark on her neck. Jokes concerning the source of the mark turned to gossip, with varying results. Various people associated with MPFSM have reportedly given Elizabeth the alleged hickey, from actor Jason Mewes to producer Marlowe.

"I guess people have nothing better to talk about" explained Marlowe through a representative of Miracle Pictures.

According to someone close to Elizabeth, the actress merely had a small skin rash on the day in question.

Miracle Pictures' Flying Saucer Movie opens on May 22. It features characters from the View Askew Universe and is set in HTG Hollywood.

Knight to Queen's IN YOUR FACE!

Shooting for the upcoming film Chess Club got heated late last week, although initial production has gone smoothly. But things turned violent when a huge brawl erupted between several men and women.

According to witnesses, about a dozen people can been seen fighting. Security did their best to break up the melee, but things turned ugly very fast. At one point, a door is said to have been knocked off the hinges. No primary talent was involved in the fight, and it’s not clear what started the brawl. The film crew has also made no mention of the fight on social media pages, though something could easily be said by the end of shooting.

Chess Club centers around a group of 20-somethings (for the most part) and their quest to get their new organization ready for matches against a regional favorite. Producer Chris Harmer of Jade Falcon Productions last worked with Miracle Pictures in last year's Another Time to Die Hard.

Being in pre-production, no release date has een set.

You Put Either Gravy OR Cheese On Your Fries. One, Not Both.

After months of production to get things right, producer Teufel of Decepticon Liberation Front can relax. His latest film, The Warriors, is now in theatres. This reporter chatted with Teufel at a local eatery and asked if he was happy with the release.

"I sure am," the Washington native remarked. "My one regret is not casting Harmer in a cameo as the cop. He would have nailed it."

Chris Harmer, producer/actor, was last seen as the star of Miracle Pictures' The Chris Harmer Mysteries. A call to the MP offices were not answered. Will Harmer appear in another detective film soon from them? Rumors are that a sequel is in the works.

21CC's The Warriors, along with Flip Brothers' They Came From Planet Earth, are now in theatres.

Soundtrack: The Warriors

By Teufel

Battling its way into brick and mortar retailers and Internet merchants this weekend is the soundtrack for the latest Decepitcon Liberation Front action flick, a remake of the 1979 cult classic "The Warriors." Now set in the 1980's the soundtrack boasts a fitting heavy metal selection.

"Years and years ago I stumbled upon a website made by the man who would become HTG's very own mythical Chris Harmer. It celebrated heavy metal with rocking MP3s to download," explained producer Teufel, referencing an ancient time before iTunes, YouTube, and torrents. "It was my first real taste of the genre and I was hooked. One of the first songs I listened to was "The Sentinel" by Judas Priest and so ever since I was a kid I've had a vision of a vicious street gang fight and how it would make a neat story. This dovetailed perfectly with taking "The Warriors" and doing a different spin on it."

When asked for comment the original "The Warriors" director/co-writer Walter Hill, himself a frequent collaborator with Teufel in the past, only offered a blunt: "Tell him to stick to westerns and leave my movie alone."

21CC's "The Warriors" comes to theaters May 1st along with the Flip Bros' "They Came From Planet Earth." It stars Jack Reynor, Anthony Mackie, Diego Boneta, John Boyega, and Henry Hopper. It is directed by Antoine Fuqua, who after a seven year drought in HTG finds himself directing two films only a few weeks apart with this and April 17th's "BOJ: Beginnings."

Track listing:

1.) "Cautionary Warning" by John Sykes

2.) "Youth Gone Wild" by Skid Row

3.) "18 and Life" by Skid Row

4.) "Tonight" by Ozzy Osbourne

5.) "The Sentinel" by Judas Priest

6.) "Into the Arena" by Michael Schenker Group

7.) "A Tout Le Monde" by Megadeth

At Least He Didn't Rap About His Days in Philly

Actor Will Smith was recently spotted at an HTG Hollywood park playing basketball. The Fresh Prince's love for the game is well known. This game, however, was not your usual pick-up.

You see, Smith was playing against two fifth graders from Busey Elementary School. And he made no adaptations for participating against two ten-year-olds. Apparently, Smith desires to win at any cost.

"It was horrible" explained an onlooker. "He ran into those poor kids like they were grown men. And, whenever he made a basket, he'd yell 'Welcome to Earf' at his distraught opponents. What was he thinking?"

Smith will be appearing as Secret Service Agent Johnson in next Friday's They Came From Planet Earth. It is the first HTG film role for the actor in five years.

"Maybe he was overly joyful that he was working" another witness to the game theorized. "But he got paid an arm and a leg. He probably will be all right for a few years."

They Came From Planet Earth will open with 21CC's The Warriors on May 1st.

Did You Look Where Your Missing Socks Are?

Making movies is a costly business. If you spend X amount of dollars to create a film, it would be nice to get more than X amount of dollars back. Long-time HTG Hollywood resident PJ Flip realizes this. And, with his movie They Came From Planet Earth coming out on May 1st, PJ is determined for the movie to make a profit... at any cost.

So on Saturday, PJ spent more than 1.4 billion dollars (yes, not million... billion) to ensure he personally has the ad moxie to promote a movie. He spent the day at Mega Mart and various car lots to buy enough items and cars to make sure his movies do well. He purchased, among other things, thirty cars with thirty bobble heads. They were placed in three layers of a garage. But the joy in the new cars would be cut short.

PJ lost the box that the car keys were delivered in.

"Can you believe it?" stated an onlooking resident of the city as he watched PJ dig through the back of his normal transportation. "If I had all those new cars, I'd think about driving them occasionally. Bummer."

A spokesperson for PJ Flip Productions could not be reached for comment.

They Came From Earth opens alongside 21CC's The Warriors on May 1st.

Could You Pass Me the Peanut Butter? I Can't Eat Anything Without My Skippy!

Will Lucian Carter's new documentary, XCC: Enter Roger Trint, answer that question?

Unknown to the mixed martial arts world a short time ago, Roger Trint has amassed quite the reputation with Xtreme Cage Combat over the last five years. Where did he come from? How did he turn the small California MMA organization into one to be watched?

"These documentaries concerning Trint's rise should give everyone all the information that the need" stated color commentator Steven Seagal at a recent meeting. "It's a pretty good look at the CEO, plus an inside glance at the XCC in general. Now, if you'd excuse me, I'd like to have a stuntman go beat on the chef. This pasta is overcooked!"

XCC: Enter Roger Trint opens today. It is a Possum Lodge Studios release of a Ship of Fooles production.

Close Encounters of the Movie Kind

Are flying saucers the next big rage in HTG Hollywood? With the extensive ad campaign operated by producer PJ Flip for They Came From Planet Earth, it seems that the alien objects may indeed be the next big thing in the city.

"We were, like, out on the north side of the Big O," began a citizen who recently spoke to this reporter. "We were sipping some wine, enjoying the stars, then all of a sudden there was this big ol' whoosh and something flew overhead. It freaked us out, man! I tell ya, who knows what it was. We've been back out at the lake most every night since. But we haven't seen anything. I'm telling you, it was a flying spaceship from outer space! What else could it be?"

After some inquiries at HTG Private Airport in HTG Malibu, this reporter discovered that a chartered helicopter did make a pass over the lake at the time the resident was present. This information, though, did not disuade him.

"No way! It was a flying saucer! I've seen helicopters before. This wasn't a helicopter. Aliens are here, man!"

Have the ads for They Came From Planet Earth caused panic in the man? More such incidents have not been reported. But that hasn't stopped the lake visitor.

"I'm going to start some sort of organization to look into this. If they're out there, I'm going to find out!"

They Came From Planet Earth, featuring an all-star cast, opens on May 1st. It is a PJ Flip production to be released by Flip Brothers Studio.

These Rumors Are Highly Illogical

William Shatner did not father a little girl who is now two years old, despite a new claim. A source close to the sci-fi icon told us it is completely untrue. According to rumors going around HTG Hollywood, Shat fathered a daughter with an HTG Valley woman, an out of work employee of the defunct Club Siberia. There are claims of “legal documents” that are “under court seal and are "confidential.” In those supposed court papers, it’s noted that “William Shatner has agreed to take a paternity test,” but the actor is so sure he’s the girl’s dad that he’s already begun “voluntarily paying the woman 5 million dollars a month in child support.”

But Shatner's associate assures us that the gossip is indeed false.

Shat last appeared in the Harmertastic Iron Chef: The Movie. He has been seen in seven Miracle Pictures films to date, plus has guested on the HTG TV show It's Always Me. He will appear next in PJ Flip's They Came From Planet Earth, opening on May 1st.

Some of you may have seen the ads on the message board.

Thank You For Being a Wild Drunk

Legendary actress Betty White was arrested early Thursday morning in a back room of the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York, according to sources. The police, who responded to a call around 1:30 a.m. about a fight, said White was allegedly drunk and refused to come out of the storeroom. The 93 year-old star was slurring her speech and acting belligerently, according to the police. Apparently, the trouble first began during an interview with TV host David Letterman, where White was boozing earlier and had been asked to leave after the second segment because she was acting “unruly.”

When the police arrived, they found White locked inside a room reserved for storage of cue cards used on past shows. The police asked her several times to come out, but she refused, and so officers were forced to drag her out.

The comedy legend was taken to jail and charged with trespassing, being drunk in public, resisting arrest, and battery on a police officer for allegedly kicking a cop. She was issued a citation, and later released. White has yet to release a statement.

Miss White is currently appearing in artwork for a caption contest on the HTG message board. Whether this prompted her to do what she did or not is unknown.

Meat's Meat and a Man's Gotta Eat

Pippa Middleton, sister to Duchess of Cambridge Kate, has found herself on PETA’s bad side after revealing she enjoys eating the all-you-can-eat selection at Carne Diem restaurant (They serve meat and that's it!). Recent news footage angered the ever-whining organization. Pippa was recently photographed eating a large BBQ pork tenderloin barehanded.

As usual, PETA went off the unreasonable deep end.

Complaining a PETA official, “Does she think or read? What’s next, a panda steak or elephant canapé? These meat buffets are out of control. If Pippa is looking for culinary experience, may we suggest a vegetable pizza at Flip Brothers? No animal was harmed in making that."

When asked about the PETA-induced controversy, a manager at Carne Diem remarked "PETA's always crying about our menu. If they don't like it, they can go somewhere and have a salad. We're here to stay."

Typo Brings New Cash to Local Businessman

The name Roger Trent has been on the tongues of many citizens of HTG Hollywood this week, thanks to some billboards dotting the cityscape. The good news is that movie fans are eager to see who Roger Trent is. The bad news is, the ads were misprinted. They were for the movie XCC: Enter Roger Trint. But dry cleaner Roger Trent doesn't mind.

"Business has been booming" smiled the long-time business owner. "People are coming in droves, just to have their clothes cleaned by someone in a movie. What they don't realize is, I'm not in any movie. But that's okay. The extra cash is helping me with a down payment on a Logic Problems DVD. Wow, are those things expensive!"

XCC: Enter Roger Trint is a Ship of Fooles documentary focusing on MMA promoter Roger Trint (who is not a dry cleaner). New to the sport, the film investigates whether Trint will be successful or not in his new endeavor.

"As long as we see some heads buttin'," declared a local mixed martial arts fan, "I'll cheer."

The documentary, a Possum Lodge Studio release, opens April 24.

Hackers Strike Again, Ignore Promise to Leave Olive Garden Coupons Free of Vandalism

It has been discovered why actress/singer Taylor Momsen was in meetings at Miracle Pictures Studio. She was finalizing her deal to appear in Jay, a horror flick penned by Ritchie Steven. The timing of the film, however, may prove a little awkward.

Taylor Momsen naked pictures have allegedly been hacked and leaked. Nude photos of the 21-year-old have just surfaced online. The alleged shots would make Momsen the latest celebrity to have her private images stolen and posted on the Internet. Last year, a massive hack dubbed The Fappening struck Hollywood, with hackers distributing nude pictures stolen from dozens of actresses.

"We're sorry to hear about this" stated a representative from MP. "We're hoping that it does not distract from Taylor's wonderful appearance in the movie Jay. It's a chiller, that's for sure."

Jay, a Ritchie Steven production released by Miracle Pictures, also stars Geoffrey Rush and is directed by John Carpenter. It opens this Friday the 17th.

Health Scare Closes Clinic, Dr. Pepper Used in Treating Patients

The latest winners for the HTG Awards have been given, with Heroes or Something Like It and its producer, PJ Flip, coming out as the big winners of the night. A once-a-year event, the HTG Awards celebrate the films of the previous year.

"The lack of awards given to canine actors was disappointing" stated Reverend Butchie DeBone, "but I guess there's always the next year. I hope to see some great movies featuring dogs and voiced dog roles this year."

Unknown to many in HTG Hollywood, a stand-up performance was originally scheduled to open the awards. Performed by troubled comedic talent Andy Dick, the operators of the awards decided not to show the routine after Dick spent the first 15 minutes doing nothing but licking a large Yoda statue.

"We felt it was not appropriate," declared one of the award producers. "Besides, it wasn't funny. Andy Dick needs to not only get help, he needs some good writers."

Happening would like to give a hearty yahoo to all of the award winners.

Confusion at Airport Leads Actor to Leave Luggage, Still Remembers to Tip Bathroom Attendant

John Stamos opened up about the semi-official Brady Bunch reboot this week, telling a paparazzi cameraman at HTG Private Airport in Malibu that he was the one pushing for a revival and explaining that he wants “Bradier Bunch” to preserve the legacy of the beloved original sitcom. Asked whether the reported series is definite, Stamos said “It’s my hope that it is. We’re just working out a few of the details.” When the paparazzo said fans really want to see the show return, the actor replied “I want it, too. I could also use a bowl of ramen noodles and a Diet Fresca. Where's the nearest snack bar?”

“I’ll tell you one thing, Bradier Bunch should be back on the air,” continued Stamos. “If we can work the deal out, hopefully it will make everyone happy.”

When the cameraman kept pressing for details and a confirmation, Stamos responds “Here’s the deal. We’re this close to making it all happen. I’m the one who started it all. I wanted to bring it back for the fans, and I don’t want to hurt the legacy. I’m not going to let that happen. We’re this close to making it perfect.”

It was at that point in the conversation between the actor and the cameraman that an elderly lady approached. She stated that she had overheard what was said, and had bad news. John Stamos was never in The Brady Bunch. A reboot with him may not be the best plan that he has. Stamos stormed off, mumbling about learning mixed martial arts, because "That's where it's at."

If I Hear That Red Bull Joke About It Giving The Falcon Wings One More Time, I'm Going to Scream

Although heavily still in the production phase, 21CC's film The Warriors is eagerly anticipated for April 24. Based on the Saul Yurick novel, which has already been made into a Walter Hill movie, the action involves a New York City gang in the Eighties pursued by a charismatic foe named Cyrus, portrayed by Anthony Mackie.

And, according to rumors from the set, working with Mackie has been less than a treat for the support crew.

"He won't stop eating!" proclaimed a worker who wished to remain unnamed. "Most especially, he won't stop eating Flip Brothers pizza. He's eating a slice up until Antoine Fuqua yells action. And the second he's done, it's another piece. We had pizza boxes stacked everywhere. If you look, you can see some in a scene now and then. I tell ya, Mackie's got a problem!"

When asked, a representative from the studio didn't seem upset.

"Sure, Anthony ate a lot of pizza. They were slices of New York style. He was getting into the role by consuming them... by feeling a bit of New York within him with each bite. Sure, he might have gained a little weight, but I think everyone will appreciate the effort."

The Warriors is a Decepticon Liberation Front (Teufel) production.

Is She Evil? Or Does She Really Eat Lucky Charms With Chocolate Milk?

Actress/singer Taylor Momsen was recently spotted on the studio lot of Miracle Pictures. It was not stated in the daily briefing about the young woman's reason for being there. But, with studio chief Marlowe being in favor of planning ahead, there could be a number of possibilities for Momsen's presence.

"She sings and she acts," a lot visitor remarked. "So does Justin Bieber. The Biebs has been in some MP projects. Maybe that Marlowe guy is putting them in something together, like a romcom. A singing romantic comedy! That would be quite the treat."

Momsen has had a fair career in HTG Hollywood, most recently appearing in 2012's Lollipop Chainsaw. Stay tuned for any announcement concerning a possible Momsen casting in a Miracle Pictures release.

Mini Me Has a Mini Catastrophe With Blue Gloved Men

Verne Troyer was subjected to a rather vigorous airport security search in HTG Malibu over the weekend. The actor, who last appeared on HTG big screens in 2008 in Tales of Terror and Suspense, was forced to participate in the invasive procedure because he lives in HTG Hollywood near the Big O Lake. The HTG Private Airport is for HTG Malibu residents only! (That is, unless you have a special pass.)

"They treated him like a criminal" complained an observer. "I was really upset, until I found out he doesn't live in this part of the city. How dare he! I guess the agents had their work cut out for them. By the way Mr. Troyer was squirming, I'm guessing he didn't like that camera flashlight searching his innards!"

Troyer was recently featured in a mysterious ad by Miracle Pictures. Without discussing the actual product, the artwork mentioned private investigation. Will Troyer by joining the esteemed Chris Harmer in a mystery? Will he be portraying a friend of Jim Rockford's? Or could another Hunt Club project be in the works, where pilot Hans takes a side job as a P.I.?

Unfortunately, MP isn't saying at this time.

Troyer was released from custody at the airport, but not allowed to take a flight. He was heard proclaiming that he would instead take the train.

Terror Flick Slated for April

A teaser poster for the horror film Jay has been leaked. The movie is an extended version of two episodes of Horror Hour, with some glue and a third part tossed on. Producer Ritchie Steven is behind the writing, but Miracle Pictures Studio is behind the release.

"The Flips were scraping for time to release a film so soon" commented a staff member of Miracle Pictures. "Marlowe heard about the project and was thrilled to get it out. Marlowe has produced a couple times for the Flip Brothers, so it's nice to see them switch."

The movie Jay concerns a tense encounter that "will leave you shocked," according to the MP rep.

A regular poster is expected soon. Keep tuned for its reveal. Jay will open on April 17.

Fan of the Squared Circle Returns, Smells of Wet Fritos

Wrestleboy back in the day

Readers of Happening in the kinda-sorta-distant-past may remember reports made by young wrestling expert Wrestleboy. Though short of stature, WB had the knack of discovering interesting tidbits in the wrestling world. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding with the authorities placed the youth on a ban from wrestling activities in HTG.

Wrestleboy is back, however. He's older and larger. And he's still a lover of the sport.

Wrestleboy with two smaller friends

"Yeah, they tried to kick me out of the arenas for life" Wrestleboy declared at a recent fan meeting. "But I got that overturned. It's not my fault that sometimes people didn't see me and say things that they shouldn't. But now I'm taller and larger. They'll see me now, so they have nothing to worry about."

WB smiled when he added "Maybe."

The young athlete's love for wrestling has prompted him to join the local Grab My Tights Club, run by club president Edwin Knifefingers.

Knifefingers at a recent training session

"He's a real go-getter" stated the club head at the mini convention, hosted by the club. "He's eager to get into the sport on a professional level. If he keeps it up, I think he'll be able to accomplish his goal.

"As for wrestling rumors, the only thing that I heard lately is that the reason TCW's new event got postponed is because they weren't sure they'd have enough Hardy Boys T-shirts printed to sell. That's a joke, right? That's not a reason to delay anything. When in doubt, I say, blame The Rock."

The star-studded World of Wrestling: Mania opens this Friday. TCW Hotter Than Hell Part II will show starting May 8.

Would You Like Red Sprinkles or Blue Sprinkles?

The warm weather movie schedule is filling at a smooth pace. A newly announced film, a title not given yet, has started to advertise on the message board. At least, that's what's assumed with the promo art for Dinklage's Sprinklages. This news source has found another piece of ad art, related to the first with a mention of sprinkles and ice cream.

Or could the artworks be a ruse?

"It'll be announced soon" commented a representative from Miracle Picture Studio.

According to the Twitter account of the studio chief/producer, Marlowe has made minor progress on a new script.

"Heck, he's started a thousand scripts," the MP rep continued. "Who knows if this one will be completed."

Stay tuned to Happening for further developments.

Is That a McGregor Tartan? Take It Off So I Can Get a Good Look!

Movie goers are celebrating the posting of new films on the HTG release calendar. With gaps in the schedule, each new production is reason to toss some confetti.

Among the newly scheduled films is Untitled. Set for May, the plot of the movie has yet to be announced. But an HTG Hollywood insider has already clued us to what it may be about.

"Summer releases are heating up" explained the movie source. "That means stuff for the younger viewers. I hear Untitled is a wild teen comedy. It should include at least a couple currently popular talents. And, if the studio's smart, there should be a cute dog. Everyone loves cute dogs, right?"

Although not confirmed, the staff at Happening will assume this is correct until otherwise stated by the studio. Anyone with information concerning Untitled should contact this news source.

It's a Lucky Guess Department

One of the disadvantages of a last-minute film scheduling is that it's difficult to build buzz for the show. With the opening of World of Wrestling: Mania only days away, will Possum Lodge Studios have enough time to build excitement for the film?

The content of the presentation will apparently include time with the wrestlers involved in Wrestlemania 31. This has come to the attention of one resident of HTG Hollywood, who has high expectations.

"I've been advocating the involvement of 'shorter' wrestlers for years" explained a commenter who wished to remain anonymous. "I've received little, if anything, for my hopes. I didn't see Wrestlemania 31 [which occurred last weekend]. If they had a match with smaller wrestlers, and Lucian covers it in his documentary, I'll give the thing an 11!"

The citizen was asked which diminutive grapplers he was looking forward to.

"I'd really like to see footage of Hornswoggle versus Vicious Shark" the resident answered. "It would be a classic match. A guy in a leprechaun outfit against a fella in a shark costume? Man, that would rule."

With under a week left to promote the documentary, wrestling fans are eager to see what will be covered.

World of Wrestling: Mania opens on Friday the 10th.

I Guess The Rock Would Rather Lip Sync Than Wrestle

The production of fine events is not the easiest of tasks. Sometimes it takes a try or to for a successful show to be given. Such is the case of TCW Hotter Than Hell Part II. Due to some difficulties presented, the wrestling event is being postponed.

The good news, however, is that wrestling junkies will have a substitute on April 10 to satisfy their cravings. Possum Lodge Studios will be presenting World of Wrestling: Mania, a documentary on the production of Wrestlemania 31. The setup and execution of last weekend's event will be discussed.

"As long as they show some of the matches, I'll be fine with it" a fan commented. "I can wait for HTH Part II... as long as I don't have to wait too long! I really want to see Tommy Boy get his sack handed to him."

The documentary World of Wrestling: Mania is now in buzz. Don't forget to vote!

He Might Not Be Cooking, But At Least He's Eating Healthy

Groans traveled through the sea of wrestling fans in HTG Hollywood on Wednesday when it was announced that there might be a delay with TCW: Hotter Than Hell II, the newest grappling event from Ship of Fooles Productions. Although the likelihood of the show going on, event chief Lucian Carter warned of the possibility. A final decision is said to be made by Friday.

But, wrestling fans ask, why the possible delay? According to an inside source, it may be due to the schedule of the man on the poster, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The rumor is that Johnson is still heavily involved in promotion for Furious 7. Time for his preparation and participation might not be enough. And a substitute of his magnitude has not been located.

Granted, this is heresay, but from a reliable source. Without The Rock on the ticket, who else could manage to draw viewers?

"I'd pay good money to see someone beat the you-know-what out of Justin Bieber. He thinks he's all that," stated one fan visiting a local theatre.

"They could have Hacksaw Jim Duggan wave the flag around and go 'Whoooa!' for half an hour," theorized another.

Tommy Cornell versus Ricky Dale Johnson is advertised as the main event for the championship. Hopefully, Lucian will be able to give a thumbs up to April 10.

"I'll be there, no matter who's wrestling!" screamed an excited fan.

He's That One, Right?

More news has surfaced concerning the upcoming sci-fi thriller from Flip Brothers Studios, They Came From Planet Earth. Producer PJ Flip has leaked a list of possible talents to appear in the movie. Among them are actors Bill Pullman and Bill Paxton. However, the Flips have yet to address the following concern... Which Bill is which?

It's a sad truth that many residents of HTG Hollywood cannot tell the difference between the two. Pullman last appeared in HTG in 2011's Camp Quad. Paxton was last seen in last year's Energy Run in a cameo. Despite having credentials, the two men often confuse movie goers.

An online test to challenge the knowledge of the actors was recently presented to viewers at a local cinema. Although some did well on the brief test, many did not.

"I coulda sworn Bill Pullman was in Land of the Lost" declared one test taker.

No clue as to when the final cast of They Came From Planet Earth will be completed. The film is set to release in May.

A Short Round of Truth Department

It was widely reported that beloved actor Harrison Ford recently crashed a vintage World War II airplane after the engine lost power. Although he managed to steer to a rough landing on a golf course, possibly saving lives, Ford received injuries that required surgery and a hospital stay.

Or did he?

Word has been received at this news source that the airplane crash story was fabricated to save embarrassment of a group of HTG Hollywood elite.

"I was at the previous hole on the course" stated an anonymous golfer, afraid to give his name. "I saw the tractor trailer deliver the plane wreckage. That Han Solo guy and a friend of his pulled up in a limo. There was no crash. It was all some sort of scam. And not only that, but I had to wait forty minutes to play through! The hotshots in this town don't care about us little minor millionaires."

Investigation has led this news source to believe that Harrison Ford was injured on the upcoming science fiction film They Came From Planet Earth. Penned by PJ Flip and starring Sigourney Weaver, William Shatner, Michael Bolton along with Ford, the latter's character is a retired fighter pilot whose mission is to rescue the U.S. President.

According to a private source close to the production, Ford, who has been accident prone in recent years during filming, lost control of a special effects spaceship and earned the injuries credited to the golf course crash. In order to save face for him and the film studio, the false tale was concocted.

"I don't see why they went to all the effort," an employee of Happening stated. "He's Indiana Jones. We'd forgive him for a little boo boo."

They Came From Planet Earth, a Flip Brothers Studio release, is scheduled for May.

Disappointment Affects Entertainer

With the opening days of Horizon Pictures' drama Wonder Boy behind us, the amount of surprise concerning the film should be diminishing. However, patrons of the movie on Sunday were amazed when actor/singer Justin Bieber caused a scene in the theatre lobby. Apparently, Bieber was under the impression that the movie was about him.

"It's called Wonder Boy!" exclaimed Bieber. "That's my middle name! Justin Wonder Boy Bieber! How could this thing not be about me?!"

The film concerns the dishonest exploits of Barry Minkow, portrayed by Josh Hutcherson.

"C'mon, girl, I like Joshie. But when you have a movie with that title, there's only one person it can be referring to. I sing. I act. I dance. I make the little girls... I mean... I make the women go crazy. I'm the Wonder Boy. I demand that a producer make a movie about me right now!"

Bieber is rumored to be starring alongside HTG megastar Chris Harmer in an upcoming twin-based flick. Parties for neither entertainer would comment when questioned about that.

Wonder Boy, produced by Bluegrass Productions, is in theatres now.

Picture Problem Might Be Fixed, EIC Still Blames Oliver Hardy

The (now) once-a-year spectacle HTG Awards is upon us, with voting open to all HTG Hollywood residents here. A nice variety of films and related nominations are available.

However, one esteemed HTG citizen is not pleased with the selection. Acting super-diva Amy is disappointed that she did not receive a nod for any of her work in 2014.

"What do those want?" exclaimed the canine known for not only action films, but comedies. "I've given my all for my work. Where's the recognition? Maybe I should just leave the acting game and stay behind the camera. That aspect of HTG Hollywood has been rewarding. Little One can take over and I'll direct or producer or whatever."

Amy's next scheduled film is this Summer, "Hump All Night." The violent, foul-language actioneer is expected to receive the most mature rating available.

"That's how I roll" Amy concluded.

EIC Blames Conspiracy on Blog Difficulties

Operating a news source isn't always easy. That is especially true when the medium for the news isn't functioning at 100 percent.

"Stupid Blogger isn't working all the time" complained Happening's chief Marlowe at a recent meeting. "It often doesn't accept pictures any more, including those boffo title shots that I post with the news. And sometimes I go to the effort of writing something... sometimes elegant, sometimes horse hockey... and the blasted thing won't load. It's a conspiracy!"

By coincidence (or is it?), this weekend sees the opening of Horizon Pictures' Wonder Boy, directed by conspiracy believer Oliver Stone.

"I wouldn't put it past Stone to work this news problem up for publicity," continued Marlowe. "Remember JFK? Full of hackneyed fiction. This bending bullet BS won't fly with me. I don't know how, but the news will go on!"

Wonder Boy covers the illicit dealings of Barry Minkow, portrayed by Josh Hutcherson, as he swindles investors in this movie based on a true story. It opens on Friday, March 27.

"I'd ask for my own money back from Blogger.com," Marlowe commented, "but it's free. Before you know it, I'll be logging onto the site and get a dozen popup ads for blue pills. I tell ya, it's a conspiracy!"

Just Because He Likes Flannel Doesn't Mean He Likes Pancakes, Dude

A junior high student named Leroy "Slammaster L" Peterson claimed he was inspired by TCW's latest wrestling event, Hotter Than Hell Part I, when he allegedly bodyslammed a classmate at Polanski Middle School in on Friday afternoon.

"Hey, they do it in TCW," the student declared after release by the HTG Hollywood police. "Mick Foley does that all the time. He even hits the other guys with a baseball bat wrapped with barbed wire. Gosh. And I can't gently put someone down on the floor in the hall outside of English class? It's no fair."

Charges have not yet been filed against Peterson, though he attended his first anger therapy session on Monday.

TCW Hotter Than Hell Part I is currently in theatres. Part II will appear in March.

Not a Real HTG Movie, But HTG Movies Aren't Real, Either. Ironic, Isn't It?

It's time for HTG Hollywood's Yoda Award nominations. A fine set of films were shown during the designated time. Who will bring home the prestigious trophies?

Generally staying away from the nominating process through the years, long-time resident Marlowe has tossed his two cents onto the message board and has asked for creative nominations.

"I figured that I might as well," the producer recently remarked. "I've put a lot of hard, reliable work into the artistic process. Might as well get some recognition. Heaven knows that I haven't been paid for each piece. What the heck, huh."

Marlowe also said that he has not decided if he will post any considerations for other work.

"We'll see what kind of energy I have" he concluded with a chuckle.

Pup Poses Problem for Police

Canine actor Little One, who was last seen in Baseball Mogul's Dog Party, allegedly lied to police and fellow cast members about owning the vacant HTG Malibu home she’s been accused of burglarizing. She was charged with burglary and grand theft after allegedly taking thousands of dollars in property from an unoccupied residence near where she was filming the Shakespearean adaptation The Taming of the Poodle.

There may be a problem with Little One’s story. The police report of the incident indicates that she misled authorities into believing he owned the home that was burglarized. An unnamed co-star also reportedly claims Little Bit lied to him about owning the property and even instructed the film's production crew to go into the house and make off with items like a pool heater, leather sofa and six-foot long chew toy.

Released on bail on Thursday, Little One characterized the whole thing as a “misunderstanding,” claiming it had been “blown out of proportion” and complaining that “good news doesn’t travel this fast.” She told the press that “It will all get cleared up. You’ll see. You can't keep me from making movies and entertaining the masses."

Blah Blah Blah and Something About Taylor Swift

With just a couple days remaining before the release of RandomName's thriller Killbus, little is known about the nature of the movie. A (partial?) cast advertisement was posted on the HTG message board, but what is the movie about? Investigation from this news source has come up with some probable answers.

Killbus stars Aziz Ansari as Tariq, a man anxious to find work after his television series has ended. He meets Deepak, portrayed by Vin Diesel, whose job forces him to replace hundreds of D-sized batteries in public transportation so that the vehicles will run on time. When Deepak's horde of power cells are stolen, he enlists new friend Tarik to track down the thieving culprit.

Calls to Flip Brothers Studio have not been returned as of this writing to confirm this storyline.

Also featured are Emma Watson as Kelly, who sympathizes with Tariq, because after her graduation from a mysterious school, she has not found the level of work that she was accustomed to. She cozies up to Dev Patel's Rikesh, the winner of game show money.

"It seems to be the logical route" stated an anonymous news reporter. "If they ain't going to give us a hint, we've got to guess."

Killbus is currently available for buzz vote and will be opening on Friday.
