Happening's Fifth Oh My Story Since Opening

George Takei did not experience a wardrobe malfunction that supposedly left the actor near nude on the set of his new movie, despite a fabricated report from another HTG news source. This reporter has been informed by a reliable source that it never happened.

According to that other source, Takei was filming a scene for the upcoming musical Bits 2, in which he is one of numerous presenters, when his costume had a mishap. For whatever effect was desired, the costume was fitted with flickering lights that started to blink and smoke during a take. The film's crew allegedly raced to rip the outfit from Takei, leaving him almost naked.

But, according to representatives of Ship of Fooles Productions, Takei's outfit had no electrical devices attached to it whatsoever. The event reported by the other news source simply did not happen.

Bits 2, to be released by Possum Lodge Studios on July 15, is a collection of musical shorts, directed by Joel Schumaker. Other presenters include Keanu Reeves and Dwayne Johnson.

Pasta La Vista, Baby!

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was spotted this weekend at famed HTG Hollywood restaurant Flip Brothers Pizza. Known for his appetite for the food at the establishment, Arnold was said to have enjoyed several courses. But he didn't enjoy too many breadsticks, according to an onlooker.

"He said something about the carbs," stated the other diner, "but he ate a ton of pasta. Go figure."

Rumors have been floating around the city that the Guhbernator will be featured in a film to be released this summer. Arnold has not appeared in an HTG project since Phil Scotto For President in 2009.

"I don't know if it's action or fantasy or comedy or what" an industry insider stated. "But I'm looking forward to whatever it is. No Arnold for seven years is too long."

Scary!

Movie studios in HTG Hollywood must employ a number of functions in order to be successful. Sometimes things don't work out as originally planned. But sometimes it is possible for those new plans to turn out well. Miracle Pictures recently discovered this during its production of the upcoming film Thanks, Dad.

In the father/daughter relationship comedy, Marlowe himself stars as Charlie Spooner, who has the habit of annoying his daughter Moira, played by HTG newcomer Bailee Madison. In the original script, Marlowe had written in the wife, Catherine. To play the role, former Spice Girl and current America's Got Talent judge Mel Brown was cast.

"Marlowe as terribly excited," stated a representative from the studio. "He had always wanted to work with Mel B. This would have been her first HTG job. But, for some reason, there was a mix-up."

When work began, it wasn't Mel Brown who showed. It was the legendary Mel Brooks. For a yet unknown reason, the 90-year-old was given the call.

"Although Marlowe was disappointed to not be meeting Mel Brown that day, he was tickled to see Mel Brooks. He was so happy, in fact, that he made Mr. Brooks the film's director. I guess some things just work out that way."

Also featured in the film are Nolan Gould and producer Lucian. Thanks, Dad opens on July 8.

I Sure Am Glad That I Don't Live in Arizona, Right?

For most every person in the entertainment business, working with the legendary Morgan Freeman would be a dream. But, for actor Wil Wheaton, the experience working with Freeman on Maps on the Wall was quite strange.

"He had no idea who I was" Wheaton said of the elder talent. "Granted, Maps is the first thing that I have worked on in HTG Hollywood. But he's not ignorant of, let's say, nerd culture. He's been around. But he honestly wasn't aware of my work. Star Trek: The Next Generation. Stand By Me. My guest spots on The Big Bang Theory. Even my former podcast. Oh, well. At least I got to work with a great man and a great actor. I learned a lot."

However, Wheaton did add that Morgan Freeman did have an odd habit.

"He kept mumbling 'I miss Andy.' Over and over and over. Weird, huh?"

Maps on the Wall is a post-Earth sci-fi film. In the 22nd Century, the last survivors of humanity desperately search for a new world they can make their home. Directed by Steven Spielberg, it stars Morgan Freeman as Dr. Enders, the expert xenobiologist who leads the search. Co-starring as his faithful assistant is Eliza Dushku. The command staff features Jet Li and, making his HTG debut, Wil Wheaton. The Possum Lodge Studios release of a film from Lucian opens on July 1.

If Given the Choice Between Vanilla Pudding and Chocolate, I'd Prefer a Mixture of Both

Once again, Happening has found it necessary to debunk a bad rumor from another HTG news source. Mila Kunis, one of the stars of the upcoming The Coward, did not act like a dive on the set of the film. She did not feud with other members of the cast, despite a lengthy piece of gossip published elsewhere. According to a production assistant from the movie, the only time that Kunis exhibited any negative behavior was when she demanded that her guacamole be put on the side of her nachos on Taco Tuesdays.

According to that other news source, Kunis' ego caused a tense working environment. She allegedly enjoyed reminding people that she is married to "one of the guys from Dude, Where's My Car?" The actress also reportedly refused to come out of her trailer unless sunflower seeds were splashed around the exit to soothe her sore feet.

"Oh, what bull" stated a representative from Horizon Pictures. "Mila was a professional at all times. It never ceases to amaze me that these rumors crop up. It's ridiculous."

The Coward, a Bluegrass Productions film, also stars Jesse Eisenberg, Chris Evans and Ronda Rousey. According to the release calendar description, "A milquetoast man, from the encouragement of his psychiatrist, decides to go back to his hometown to share his feelings with his high school bully. But things go wrong when it turns into a challenge for a MMA cage fight." The movie opens on June 24.

I Feel Sorry For the Cavs. Them Warriors Are Just Too Good. I Don't Watch Basketball and Even I Know That.

Possum Lodge Studio chiefs Lucian Carter and Mad Shangi are being sued by a Nigerian pastry company executive named Prince Reindeer for allegedly bailing on participating in a pie eating contest in his country, even after being paid part of the fee. Also named in the lawsuit is Hostess, because Reindeer is unhappy that the company makes better product than his company.

According to Reindeers lawsuit, he made a deal with Possum Lodge Studios in March for the pair to go to Nigeria to eat pies for $50 million. The businessman also claims he had already made a down payment of $10 million. When the PL duo failed to show for the eating contest, Reindeer decided to sue.

However, a spokesman from the studio states that neither PL chief has heard of Reindeer. They believe that he was scammed by someone only claiming to be a part of the Possum Lodge empire. The studio rep also declared the next July 4th to be the most firecrackerish July 4th on record and that even those stupid snake dealios will make it a special day.

Next up for Absence, arriving this Friday. Both Mad Shangi and Lucian are associated with The Mad Shangi Show: Naughty Stories, coming on the 17th.

The Difference Between Aliens and Extraterrestrials? Steven Spielberg Support. And Love of Funyuns.

HTG Hollywood luminary Chris Harmer did not halt filming of the upcoming The Chris Harmer Mysteries: The Case of the Laughing Parrot because he believed that aliens had invaded the studio set, despite a ridiculous rumor floating around the city. According to an investigation by this news source, the gossip is nonsense.

According to the rumors, Harmer felt the presence of extraterrestrials and would occasionally see them spying on him. The aliens were allegedly curious about the location of the filming of a previous studio project, Miracle Pictures' Flying Saucer Movie.

"What a load of hooey" commented a member of the Harmer film crew. "I guess if you go looking around, you'd find some props from the flying saucer movie. But as for real aliens? Not even the free-minded Chris Harmer would believe that any were around the set. The gossip is pure hokum."

Chris Harmer returns as the skilled private investigator in The Chris Harmer Mysteries: The Case of the Laughing Parrot, coming June 17.
