Research into the Brain and Film Advertising Begins

Researchers from Notre Dame conducted an experiment and discovered that doorways might play into how our brain stores memories. They separated people into two groups, traveling the same distance. One group passed through a doorway, the other didn't. The ones that had to walk past a doorway were three times more likely to forget their task.

The researchers think this is because doorways are "event boundaries."

Decisions made in one room are remembered and stored "in that room" and it's more likely to forget them once you're not in it.

Now researchers are looking into how this affects movie advertising. Sometimes movies get scheduled for release, but they must be reminded by HTG administration that certain things must be done for that release to occur. Also, some movies go through their buzz vote week without a single advertisement.

"It's crazy" commented a local film fan. "Why spend millions and all of that time on a movie and not advertise it at all? Heck, some of these films give no indication whatsoever what they about. It's like the movie was posted on the calendar, then the studio left the room. Crazy."

Hubba Hubba and All That

Best known in HTG Hollywood for her role in the television series Sparks, Carla Gugino has found her first film role in 3 1/2 years. Appearing in I Am Harmer, Gugino is slated as "Mystery Woman."

"We never get around to her real name" explained Marlowe during a recent interview. "Her position in the film is more important. Why is she in the abandoned city? Does she wish our hero, Chris Harmer, any ill? Besides, she looks mighty sharp in a knit top."

Also featured in the movie are Seth Rogen and Minka Kelly.

"The cast is small" Marlowe added. "There wasn't much need for more actors."

The Miracle Pictures release is directed by Steven Spielberg, himself working after a dry spell.

I Am Harmer opens on Friday the 27th.

It Has to Be Better Than Pat the Movie, Right?

Having been in HTG Hollywood for many years, Miracle Pictures is home to numerous franchises with great potential. One of those properties is Saturday Night Live. Purchased for 250 million dollars, MP head Marlowe has yet to provide an SNL film or TV show.

"He's got all sorts of ideas," a Miracle Pictures insider stated. "But he has had trouble getting them fully to paper. He's threatened to win the lottery and hire someone to dictate his ideas to, but that elusive gambling win has yet to land."

Lucian of Ship of Fooles has an idea, if rumors are to be believed.

"I've always wanted to do Hanukkah Harry Conquers the Martians" the long-time resident remarked in HTG Chat.

The character is centered on Jon Lovitz, who plays a Hebrew version of Santa, performing great deeds.

"We're always open to new ideas" the MP rep remarked. "If Lucian got something down on paper, sure, Marlowe would look at it."

Lucian's new film, wrestling event TCW XV, is now in theatres.

Western to Hopefully Arrive This Century

It's a Harmeriffic week for the news affecting HTG Hollywood. According to a reliable source, The Good, The Bad and The Harmer 3 has been greenlit.

Following the first two films from 2006 and 2008, the Western themed movies starred Chris Harmer as a hero who righted wrongs, saved the day and got the girl.

This time, however, the script will not come from originator Teufel of Decipticon Liberation Front. Chris Harmer himself has taken the reigns of the production.

"I can hardly wait" stated one movie lover when this was announced. "Harmer starring AND writing? It's like cherries AND whipped cream on your cheesecake. Double goodness!"

A due date for the film has not been given.

Harmer Returns in Epic Feature

Weeks ago, an epic production starring Jade Falcon Productions head Chris Harmer was announced. Little has been said about the film to date, other than it would be "epic" and "of the high standards normally associated with a Miracle Pictures/Chris Harmer collaboration."

The release date has finally been announced. I Am Harmer will open on December 27, in time to "take advantage of some sweet holiday BO traffic" according to producer Marlowe.

I Am Harmer centers on a near-future which has collapsed due to a scientific catastrophe. Harmer is a scientist, greatly responsible for the downfall, who struggles to not only survive living in a city full of "mutant freaks," but to come up with a solution for the problem.

Rounding out the cast are Seth Rogen, Carla Gugino and Minka Kelly. The film was fortunate to have director Steven Spielberg come aboard.

"It's grand in scheme" Marlowe stated in a recent interview. "I can't go into too many details. Don't want to ruin the story. But it's as good as any Harmer feature to date, if not better!"

I Am Harmer will enter buzz on Friday the 20th.

Actress Demands Untrue, According to Studio

While it's true that Marion Cotillard has a role in the feature Dog Eat Dog, reports that she had outlandish demands on set are false.

Rumors circulated that the producer and studio behind the film were shocked when her team handed them a five-page list of demands, including endless supplies of grilled cheese and pickle sandwiches and 2-liter bottles of Canada Dry ginger ale.

After some investigation, the tale doesn't hold true.

"She was a delight to work with" stated Toran of I'm An Astronaut Films. "Why these false rumors pop up are beyond me."

Directed by Shane Black, Dog Eat Dog also stars Aaron Eckhart, Michael Keaton and Bryan Cranston. It is set for release on December 27.

Just in case, bring some grilled cheese and pickle sandwiches to the show.

Producer Suspects Friend of Planting Device in Auto

Megaproducer of Baseball Mogul Productions has told authorities in HTG Hollywood that he believes his long-time friend Amy the Dog is responsible for putting a GPS tracker in his car.

According to the police report provided by Chief Winslow, the tracking device was discovered in an old Milk Bone box inside the rear passenger side of Pedro's famed Cha-mobile when the vehicle was receiving routine maintenance. The device was registered to HTG Hollywood private investigator Veronica Mars, whom Amy had allegedly hired.

The report states that the canine actress had instructed the P.I. to buy the tracker into the car. It appears that Amy has been displeased with the lack of roles provided to her lately.

When asked for comment, Pedro remarked "Babo says he no loco la chica del ricos."

According to Chief Winslow, no charges have been filed at this point.

Help, He's Fallen and He Can't Wrestle

With wrestling event TCW XV on the horizon, fans across the city have been asking... Is Justin Bieber in the film or not?

After months of speculation, the answer appears to be a solid no.

According to a representative of Bieber, the young star would not be able to participate in such, a physical event, thanks to a recent injury. While attempting a skateboard trick at a local park, the singer-actor took a hard fall and injured his hip.

"The pain is too great for him to compete" the rep stated. "Sure, he could make an announcement, sing a song or two, but the urge to hop into the ring would be too great. We're just going to keep Justin away from Boston."

Featuring special guests Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, TCW XV is currently in buzz vote.

"We hope people vote positively," concluded the Bieber staffer, "even though Justin won't be participating."

Actor Beats EIC to the Punch, Neglects Carmel Candy Coating

In what some are calling the oddest video posted by the actor-comedian, Jim Carrey has recently announced his love for actress Emma Stone. Despite their age difference, it appears that Carrey may have developed feelings for her while working on the film The Red Devil.

Although little concerning the fantasy movie is known at this time, an all-star cast has been announced. Directed by Peter Jackson, the film also features Brad Pitt, Ian McKellen and Ron Howard.

Plus, thanks to the use of computer imagery (and a special award), the late Heath Ledger will be starring.

More details to come. The Red Devil, a Ship of Fooles production, will be released on January 17.

EIC Fights Illness, Posts Odd Meme

To the dismay of APB TV fans, producer Marlowe will not be providing television content this week. An episode of The Twilight Zone was planned, but Marlowe has been fighting winter illness for the week.

"I just don't have the energy to properly finish the episode" the producer stated. "Sure, I can knock off one of these news things, but they take much less effort. If I mess up, so what?"

A show from Miracle Pictures Productions should show next week. The belated Zone episode? Or on track with It's Always Me? Both?

"Beats me" concluded Marlowe with a stuffy chuckle (which he is coining the word stuckle). "I'm too busy napping and keeping that old waste basket within reach."

I'll Take Two With a Side of Ketchup

If it's panties you want, Toran is willing to get them to you.

At least in a movie, that is.

Toran Productions is writing a new film, described as: A couple with financial problems realize the profit they can make by selling used panties until they get messed with the organized crime part of it.

According to the producer, "Panty selling is pretty huge on the Internet, even met someone who was selling at my community college and that's what inspired the idea."

Aiming at a Coen Brothers-style quirky comedy drama, Toran is too early in the process to know who could star in the movie. Rumors of a Justin Bieber-Miley Cyrus teaming are premature.

As for promoting the film, Toran is reportedly stocking up on used panties to give to moviegoers on opening night.

"You have to give people what they want" the Toran the Hitman author remarked.

No due date for the film has been set yet.

Because.

She's a Wonder!

Lynda Carter's "Wonder Woman" is heading back to the real world small screens come Christmastime. Me-TV announced earlier this week that they'll show all 60 episodes of the 1970s series starring Lynda Carter starting December 27 with the pilot. The show will join Me-TV's Saturday night line-up.

"Wonder Woman" ran from 1975 to 1979 and since then, many networks have tried to recreate Carter's iconic portrayal on TV. Few have succeeded. Carter once stated that Hollywood doesn't understand Wonder Woman's powers. \

"She is an Amazon Princess and she's got really strong sisterhood values. She's smart, and she just happens to be beautiful and super strong."

Now, it looks like Me-TV has the right idea by giving life to the classic show without altering a single thing.

On HTG Hollywood screens, Lynda Carter occasionally appears as the mother to It's Always Me lead character Michael Razcynski (Jason Segel). Will she make an appearance this season?

"I sure hope so" remarked one fan.

"Coco di loco" muttered another.

It's Always Me appears every two weeks on APB Television.
