She has had a very busy 2012 with five movies already released and a sixth coming next Friday, September 28th. The Mid-2012 Hottest Woman Alive is none other than Jessica Chastain. She appeared out of nowhere and headlined Still Life for AmyLand Studios and acclaimed director Terrence Malick, then proceeded to appear in the top four cast in three more films, Frosty the Snowman, Dead Island, and Let’s Get Lost. She also had a supporting role in Reunion.
I can’t think of another actress who has appeared out of what seems like thin air and has battled more popular veteran actresses for sort after roles. In addition to her impressive 2012 slate of movies, she has already earned a Friendly Status with AmyLand Studios and has worked her TS up to an impressive 4.932.
Next Friday she is the leading actress in The Hook, where she takes on the villainous role of Grace Swanson, the cunning CEO of SWANSON CO. She causes a lot of trouble and just might be the person who brings the title character to life. The setting might be a bit familiar to fans of the Flip Brother’s DC Comics universe. The movie is a prequel that takes place in Gotham City. The whole story happens before Bruce Wayne ever puts on the cowl and becomes the Dark Knight. While young Mister Wayne was missing and presumed to be dead, SWANSON CO took over many of the businesses WAYNE ENTERPRISES ran. This makes Grace Swanson a very powerful woman, and Chastain enjoyed the power “You don’t see very strong roles like this for actresses,” she told us, “[Grace] is stronger than all of the guys in the movie and without having to throw a punch she proves just how strong she is.”
