More Money is Good, Me Thinks. Now What. Hmm. Sell Photos of RS Sleeping Face First in a Plate of Pasta? Two Mil a Shot? Hmm.

The initial run of syndication for HTG TV has come to a close, with Miracle Pictures series Dead Heat attracting the most cash. Ritchie Steven's demon busting cop show Downtown earned the spot as the show with the most money per episode.

"We're excited that this might get some more people seeing the show" stated MP producer Marlowe. "We ran with it for two seasons, twice as long as we first figured. The show's still available if people want to check out some older work of mine, reachable through the HTGmdb."

With renewed interest in Dead Heat, will viewers see a return for LAPD Detectives Roger Mortis and Douglas Bigelow?

"That's unlikely. At the end of the second season that's made pretty obvious. Well, to me, at least. However, I do have an idea or two for a followup... one a series and the other a movie. You never know what the future will bring."

According to syndication operator Lucian Carter, network chiefs have been paid their syndication funds.

"Start your pestering... now!" the Ship of Fooles/Rogue Net executive joked.

Congratulations to all involved on this first run of syndication.

Why? Why Not?

"It was a slow news weekend" remarked Happening EIC Marlowe when asked about making updates to this news source. "I guess I need to jump start the week. Here you go."

Where's the Wrestling News, Dawg?

Numerous townsfolk have contacted the Happening office over the last few weeks that have basically asked one question: Where's all the wrasslin' coverage?

For citizens new to HTG Hollywood and not in the mood to go to the HTG Archives link, here's the backstory. Most professional coverage for this news source was handled by one person... Bobby Allen Sherman, aka Wrestleboy.

Wrestleboy in his reporting prime

The youthful reporter had the uncanny ability to sneak around wrestling venues and pick up scoops and rumors that no one else was able to. He's a kid, right? What harm could come of him hearing or seeing something?

Eventually, however, the staff at TCW noticed that Wrestleboy was reporting on things that he heard. Most of that news was acceptable. Some, however, was not. Sometimes the backstage politics and the oversized egos involved in professional wrestling didn't need to be revealed. But, there in Happening, for all to see, was the occasional bad news. TCW officials and talent became tight lipped. Getting the inside poop on the pay per views and the HTG TV shows got tougher and tougher.

However, the worst news was yet to come. Earlier this week, the following memo was posted at the Happening office:

In accordance with the Wellness Policy of What's Happening in HTG Town, Bobby A. Sherman (Wrestleboy) has been suspended for one (1) calendar month for violation of the policy, effective August 25.

The news shocked the Happening staff. It is company policy to not try to guess the cause of the suspension. Once the EIC makes his decision, it's been made.

So, in a nutshell, the lack of wrestling news has its reason. Will another reporter step in? Or will we have to wait for the month to end? When the month ends, will Wrestleboy even return? Will the Editor in Chief allow him back? Will wrestling fans be forced to venture to other news sites for their fix? Numerous questions can be asked, but a "we'll see" attitude dominates the situation.

Finally, A Reason to Post a Pic of the Mayor Again. Sorry For the Delay. I Had the Flu Earlier This Week, You Know.

"HTG Hollywood Mayor Megan Fox has been signed to host the season premiere of Saturday Night live on September 26. Will Marlowe of Miracle Pictures take advantage of this opportunity by using her in an upcoming SNL project for Hollywood the Game?

"I've got to do something" stated the long-time resident. "I did fork out a nice chunk of change for the property. I've got numerous ideas, but not enough time in the day to get them seriously going. Heck, I had even done some research for a MacGruber film, but it looks like I've been beaten to the punch. Not that I can't do one anyway. It's just that I think something that hasn't hit the big screen would have more impact for the HTG movie audience. So I'm slowly working on other SNL films. One of these days I might even get one out."

2009 Mayor Megan Fox

As for including Mayor Fox?

"I think that she would be great in some capacity. It depends on the movie. Maybe not a Blues Brothers or Killer Bees flick, but maybe a Wayne's World or Superstar movie. Not that those are in the works, mind you, but those are ideas."

Yes, More News From Quantum. He's a Madman. Thanks, Q.

Vivica A. Fox has been named The Hottest Woman Alive by the What's Happening in HTG Town news source. A recent poll among a select group of men found Vivica A. Fox more attractive then the likes of Vanessa Williams, Gina Torres and RuPaul.

The poll comes just days before the release of Vivica's new movie "House of Mirrors," which is being executive produced by horror icon Wes Craven. The film is being produced by Exavior (Down & Under).

The movie follows a man (Taye Diggs) who, after being encouraged by his friends, kills his fiancee in a jealous rage. This causes friction between the man and his fiancee's daughter (Keke Palmer).

House of Mirrors is being directed by James Wan and comes out this Friday via ExaviorHouse Productions and Lake Hope Features.

What Do Ya Know, I Went to School With a Gal Named Cindy Kashun. But She Didn't Watch a Lot of TV. Just Taxi Reruns. She Loved Reverend Jim.

The new HTG Television syndication system has begun, with the buzz voting for fifteen TV shows commenced. Each of the three networks has found five former HTG TV series of varying genres to gain syndication funds from. Voting will continue through August 31.

"Most shows should make some money" stated Rogue Net chief Lucian Carter. "It would take a low average buzz for a show to not make back its investment."

Syndication should continue between HTG TV sessions in the future. All are invited to provide their votes on this initial run.

Q Ain't the Only Guy Who Can Send News. Here's Some From Lucian. Thanks, Luc. Reward Yourself With Some Tim Horton's.

Tivo tells the story of a middle aged gay couple trying to decide what to take off their TIVO. While this may sound like the premise to a comedy, it's actually a serious drama.

James Woods and Robin Williams star as the couple and are the only characters in the film.

"This is a film about inertia" says author Lucian. "It's about patterns people get stuck in and how they can ultimately change. Despite being short, I don't consider it a throwaway film. However, I deliberately kept the ad budget lower than my maximum so it wouldn't unfairly participate at the box office."

TIVO is available for pre-screening by contacting the producer. It opens September 4th.

It Should Come a No Suprise That Q Has Sent Us This. He's a Newshound, That Q. Kinda Like Lois Lane, But He's Not a Chick. Werd.

Devil Ray Television and Emerald Pictures are teaming up for the new fantasy series "Rayner," described as a mix between Lord of the Rings and Eragon. The show follows the adventures of Rayner (Craig Horner) as he becomes the heir to his father's empire and the struggles he faces from villains that want to have it.

Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass) directs an ensemble cast that is lead by also includes Bill Nighy as the evil Ezera, Michael Eklund as Ezera's aid and schemer Barja, Michael Stahl-David as Rayner's brother Jeb, and Jean Claude Van Damme as Captain Collin, an aid to Rayner as he comes into power.

Jean Claude Van Damme, who appeared in the ensemble series "Bail" during session 3 and most recently in And F- You Too, has been spending a lot of time at the police station under the name Max Walker. He will be leaving the force to take part in the new series.

Expect to see Rayner on the small screen this coming session on DRTV.

Smoking and Eating On Its Way Out According to a Recent Ordinance, Mayor Gets Brief Mentions

Few issues have divided HTG Hollywood as much as the recent smoking ban in restaurants, unless the owner of the eatery buys a special one-year license from the city.

"It's just another way for the city to make money off of us" complained the operator of one establishment forced to fork out the dough for the license.

"I love it" declared a frequent patron of a popular dining spot in the city. "It sure makes eating out more enjoyable, not having to put up with the smoke. I had a slice of pizza a month ago that tasted like cigar, not pepperoni. Now I can dine in pleasure. Thanks, Mayor Fox!"

Although a recent committee to look into the legality of prohibiting smoking in restaurants has not returned with its report, city officials seem optimistic that the action they have taken is the right one.

"It's always the inconsiderate few that ruin it for the majority" stated a staff member working for Mayor Megan Fox. "Next thing we have to outlaw is MSG. Sure, it makes food taste better, but it's bad for you. Why? We don't know. But we hear it is, so that's good enough for us!"

Where in the World is Carson? And What Time is the Cardinals Game? Those Goobers Crack Me Up!

He's here. He's not here. He's back. He's gone. Such is the cycle of life for the operator of The Carson Daily, one of HTG Hollywood's news sources. Recent publications have been on June 15, April 4 and March 17, covering soundtracks for HTG movies and TV shows. It has been two months since the last posting.

So where is Carson?

"If he's not out partying and looking down the tops of HTG lassies," theorized a bored employee of the Daily, "then he's probably face down in someone's backyard. I'm sure when he needs to come in to the office, he will. Until then I'll just sit here doing crosswords. I get paid the same if I do that or fetch coffee for the drunk bastage."

Citizens are asked to contact the news office if they spot Carson, no matter his condition. Providing soundtrack news would also be appreciated.

"Just don't steal his wallet, please" concluded the Daily staffer. "I get paid in cash."

Believe it or Don't, Here's More Believe it or Don't. Score. Good Luck on the Pizza.

Recently members of this HTG news source were digging through some boxes in the back storeroom and came across a piece of artwork in an old portfolio. It was a comic, a part of HTG's Believe it or Don't, intended for publication but never printed for some reason. What's Happening is please to provide that comic here. Because of size constraints in this new location, the art is being hosted off site so that the full image may be seen.

"It's a nice find" declared Bob, a long-time staff member of the news source. "Now if we can only find that pizza we misplaced. Missing lunch isn't any fun."

Nice Poster, Too. Makes Me Want to Put Strawberry Jam on My Tongue and Lick the Empty Part In. Too Much? I Don't Own a Paint Brush, Dewd!

Who is she? It's not for certain. But Mayor Megan Fox's character in the upcoming Out of the Dark is sure to please a lot of moviegoers on the 28th when she takes on the role of Jane Doe.

You see, the latest ad for PJ Flip's new film has the uber hot actress undressing.

Is it a fantasy brought forth by a lovesick Ray Carter, played by Bret Harrison? With Robert Downey Jr. on the cast list, is it possible that the older Iron Man actor will provide competition for Ray's desires?

"There's more to be expected than meets the eye" a source at Flip Brothers Studio informed this reporter during an early morning latte. "There's more than want of some eye candy going on. You'll see when the movie opens."

Out of the Dark, directed by David Fincher, is available for buzz vote on Friday.

It Looks Like Jean Claude Will Be Utilizing a New Fighting Style -- Crows Feet. Pow! Seriously, Best of Luck to Him. Still Love Timecop.

An inside source at Devil Ray Television has provided Happening with some early info on a new fantasy series called Rayner. Produced by Emerald Pictures, the new half hour show will feature Craig Horner, Michael Eklund, Annalynne McCord and martial arts acting legend Jean Claude Van Damme.

Returning as the top rated HTG TV network in September, will the DRTV lineup keep the fans tuning in?

"We still have some of the high rated shows that pushed us to the top" remarked the DRTV source. "If anything, I think that our overall ratings for this next session will be higher than the last one."

The new television shows are scheduled to begin in September.

Isn't That the Guy From Psych? Cool. Will Monk Be In This? He Can Also Do the Cab Driver Thing. Or Carriage Driver. Whatever Works.

Raptor Inc. producer Quantum has pegged personal fav James Roday to take the lead in his upcoming adaptation of Jack of All Trades. The show appeared for 22 episodes in 2000, a fun-packed actioneer starring Bruce Campbell. The story centered around the adventures of an American spy and a lovely British one during Napoleon's intended conquest of the world. Full of Bruce Campbell humor, it packed as many one-liners in as it did historical inaccuracies (for humor's sake).

Roday, who has appeared in a few smaller films in HTG and was nominated for his acting in HTG TV's You, Me & That Guy, will portray Jack Stiles, aka The Daring Dragoon. A respectable remainder to the cast has been hired, but Quantum is holding off on their announcement for the time being.

"We need to get this set up just right" stated the eager author. "What we have so far is really exciting. I can hardly wait for people to enjoy it."

Jack of All Trades is planned tentatively for a September release.

Dude, Where's My Next Job?

With countless talents available and so few projects to find work in, it's fortunate when an actor is hired for an HTG project. Seann William Scott, the star of the upcoming Nowhere Land, realizes that.

"I was in a couple of those Days movies" Scott recalls. "They were a hoot. Lots of action. A real nice experience. But since then, it's been goose eggs for ol' Seann. So when Living Color Productions gave me a holler about starring in their new film, I jumped at the chance."

Scott portrays Dale Masterson, a customer at a grocery store on a stormy night. Along with an assistant store manager (Margaret Cho) and a cashier (WWE Diva Mickie James), Dale ends up on a surprising adventure.

"I felt like I was wet for half of the shoot" Scott continued. "There were water scenes in this large cavern. There was a river. I got sucked through a tunnel of water. And, to beat all, there was this waterfall. Thank goodness for the stunt team. Going over that sucker would have been absolutely freaky."

Nowhere Land is the second HTG movie from Tuckerjoe, who previously brought us the Keenan Ivory Wayans film My Name is Bob. According to Tuckerjoe, another Bob film is on its way.

"I think that its an interesting character with a lot of potential" the young producer explained when questioned about Nowhere Land and other upcoming works. "I really like Keenan and wouldn't mind putting him in several things, maybe even a TV show."

Tuckerjoe's newest, Nowhere Land, is a Lake Hope Films release. It is currently in buzz voting.

Is He Back? Well, Kinda. Like the Great Taste of Diet Cherry 7Up. You Don't Know How Long It Will Be Around. Hey, It Has Antioxidants!

"It's enough to make me want to pull my hair out" proclaimed Marlowe during a recent press conference covering the slowdown on news in What's Happening.

"I got my new fancy modem in. But there's something wrong with the ethernet, probably the card. Thankfully the new modem has wifi, so we're not completely shut off from the HTG world. I've found a free paint program that seems to work with the laptop, given its limitations. So if I'm without the desktop for a while, I'll still be able to at least try to keep up with this news source."

Is there any particular story that Marlowe wishes he would have been able to cover since this difficulty began?

"Maybe Pedro winning the Best Producer award. I'd love to hear him comment about that."

Any HTG citizen wishing to promote his/her latest movie, television show or HTG service can reach the Editor in Chief here or through normal HTG channels.

"Let's keep our fingers crossed, hehe."

A Quickie But a Goodie, Me Thinks

Still lacking the ability to create a full-blown article covering life in HTG Hollywood until his hardware problem is fixed, Happening EIC Marlowe has decided to post a reminder to all citizens that (beyond this being a majorly long sentence) the latest HTG Awards will be held at 2PM Eastern Time on Sunday. Producer Bryan Bishop has agreed to host the festivities. Who will walk away with the Golden Yodas? Drop by and find out!

Also, What's Happening is offering nice bucks for anyone offering a story on the ceremony.

"We pride ourselves in paying well" stated Marlowe. "I'd do it, but, well, someone else doing it means less work for me."

Updates Still On Hold, Chicken Soup is Good for a Cold. At Least That's What My Mom Says.

"I'd say it's a conspiracy, but there's probably people out there planning on me saying that. So I won't."

Operating with a modem for his desktop computer, Happening EIC Marlowe once again is forced to wrangle free wifi for his slow laptop. Will his hardware difficulty be solved soon?

"They said it would take five business days for a new modem to arrive. That would mean Friday. But who knows. It could be next Monday or Tuesday for all I know. That would be my luck, the way it's been going lately."

Until that modem arrives, Marlowe wishes to remind his fellow HTG Hollywood citizens that no updating (that he would normally handle) can be completed.

"If you buy something, make a note of it. You'll get it eventually. And as for further pics of our somewhat inane, yet hot mayor, I'm sure something good will develop over the week. I can only hope. Hubba hubba."
