They Couldn't Get Tony Danza to Play The Boss? What a Pity. (Thanks, Q)

Bandit Broadcasting Station and newcomer MossyFilm are teaming up for the new cable action procedural Recompenses, with production scheduled to begin this week.

The series follows a team of extreme Robin Hood-esque characters who seek vengeance for those who can't do it themselves. According to Mossy, they are "basically these guys who go around serving thier own brand of justice. They are assassins by nature, but have their own set of skills and they only take out bad targets."

The team is comprised of five members. Ken Foree plays "The Boss," the leader of the team who hands out orders. Joseph Mazzello plays "Glock", the slightly nerdy but crazed member of the team who is also extremely tech savy. Eli Roth plays "Colt," an older member of the team who is notorious for 'stopping face to face confrontation' with violent force. Zoe Saldana plays "Berretta," the sole female of the team, who is tough as nails and can fix, fly, and drive anything. And, Chris Hemsworth plays "Walther," a former SAS agent who hired the team when injustice was done to him, he joins the team to seek solace from a world he deems cruel and crime infused.

BBS has ordered four one-hour episodes of the series to run through the first cable session. Look out for more details when they come.
