Here Comes Science star Wes Bentley has been charged with trespassing after taking part in a pie-flying protest against a well-known HTG Hollywood eatery.
The actor was among a group of 7 people who were arrested by HTG police following a rally regarding unfair business practice outside of Flip Brothers Pizzeria on Friday afternoon. The protesters claim workers in the restaurant were being paid low wages and had had their civil rights violated by not being allowed to have food fights during their limited breaks. Bentley and his fellow campaigners were subsequently released after receiving citations and the actor remains upbeat about putting an end to the alleged rights violations.
Upon his release, the star told reporters "We're moving to make some real positive changes. And if slices of pepperoni and sausage get thrown around, the city will be a better place."
Bentley has not found much success in HTG Hollywood. His two credits before Science are 2005's Resident Evil: Psychosis and 2006's Marigold. His latest project is an event to support the Hollywood High School science department.
Here Comes Science, a Ship of Fooles release, opens on April 30.
