If I Had a Mohawk Like That, I'd Sell Rides For $2. Or a Big Candy Bar. I'm Flexible.

With the opening of The A-Team in theatres this weekend, speculation from insiders is that Miracle Pictures chief Marlowe may not be continuing his own release of the 80's franchise on HTG screens.

"At the very least he'd consider postponing it for a significant period" a local film buff guessed. "Although the weekend's gross for the RL A-Team was a respectable $26 mil, that's low for Marlowe's standards. I know that if he went through with the project, he'd want an opening week of at least $40 mil, maybe $50 million. Marlowe considers The A-Team a big franchise and wants it to be big in theatres."

Rumors have passed among movie fans in HTG Hollywood for some time on the nature of Marlowe's adaptation of the franchise. They include:

Casting little people/midgets as the on-the-run combatants who spend their spare time helping others.

Having Lt. Templeton "Face" Peck be an attractive actress, rather than a smooth actor. Megan Fox, ScarJo and Jessica Biel were rumored to have been "interviewed" for such a role.

Casting a white actor for B.A. Baracus, played by Mr. T in the original series and "Rampage" Jackson in the current release.

Having a non-white comedic actor as H.M. Murdoch, such as a recent Marlowe favorite, Tracy Morgan.

Of course, these are all rumors, as Marlowe has not stated his intentions.

"He and the studio have such a long list of properties available that it's impossible to tell which one he would work on, perhaps finish, first. I bet he'd accept assistance if the idea was right."

Marlowe's A Summary Protest opens in theatres next Friday.
