Notes and trivia not included on the Hardwick film site:
Ritchie Steven created the Marlowe image for the recent episode of The Hollywood Pit Presents from photos involving the producer's face and one of George Clooney. The side white hair belongs to the actor, who is a friendly talent to Marlowe. The heavy facial line on the picture's right is a duelling scar from Marlowe's days in MI6. He refuses to wear a bow tie with a tuxedo, claiming "That's what bolo ties are for." Marlowe had just made it home from the hospital when the above pic was taken (gall bladder surgery/pacreatitis).
Bryan Bishop wore a wig during his portrayal of detective Jack Hardwick to cover his short mohawk.
Director Christopher Nolan wore a "Nixon Now More Than Ever" button during filming.
Previous Miracle Pictures Studio movies that used Bishop as an actor: Americatown, White Possum Scream.
Quantum's contract required that his trailer have a vase of fresh flowers and a new bowl of tapioca pudding every morning.
Hardwick was originally composed as a bare-bones short script for real life production, without casting. It was added to slightly for HTG release.
Clive Owen was at first cast as Lt. Mattingly. He was dismissed after an episode at a Dairy Queen with a cashier and a mistake in giving back change. For a brief period, a pdf mentioning Owen was on the site (but quickly remedied).
Mattingly's first name, Larry, is in homage to Larry "The White Knight" Harper, an early MMA star from the producer's home town. Harper was killed in a car accident involving his Toyota and a Budweiser delivery truck that he was tailing too closely.
Hardwick is in HTG theatres now.
