Fan of the Squared Circle Returns, Smells of Wet Fritos

Wrestleboy back in the day

Readers of Happening in the kinda-sorta-distant-past may remember reports made by young wrestling expert Wrestleboy. Though short of stature, WB had the knack of discovering interesting tidbits in the wrestling world. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding with the authorities placed the youth on a ban from wrestling activities in HTG.

Wrestleboy is back, however. He's older and larger. And he's still a lover of the sport.

Wrestleboy with two smaller friends

"Yeah, they tried to kick me out of the arenas for life" Wrestleboy declared at a recent fan meeting. "But I got that overturned. It's not my fault that sometimes people didn't see me and say things that they shouldn't. But now I'm taller and larger. They'll see me now, so they have nothing to worry about."

WB smiled when he added "Maybe."

The young athlete's love for wrestling has prompted him to join the local Grab My Tights Club, run by club president Edwin Knifefingers.

"He's a real go-getter" stated the club head at the mini convention, hosted by the club. "He's eager to get into the sport on a professional level. If he keeps it up, I think he'll be able to accomplish his goal.

"As for wrestling rumors, the only thing that I heard lately is that the reason TCW's new event got postponed is because they weren't sure they'd have enough Hardy Boys T-shirts printed to sell. That's a joke, right? That's not a reason to delay anything. When in doubt, I say, blame The Rock."

The star-studded World of Wrestling: Mania opens this Friday. TCW Hotter Than Hell Part II will show starting May 8.

Would You Like Red Sprinkles or Blue Sprinkles?

The warm weather movie schedule is filling at a smooth pace. A newly announced film, a title not given yet, has started to advertise on the message board. At least, that's what's assumed with the promo art for Dinklage's Sprinklages. This news source has found another piece of ad art, related to the first with a mention of sprinkles and ice cream.

Or could the artworks be a ruse?

"It'll be announced soon" commented a representative from Miracle Picture Studio.

According to the Twitter account of the studio chief/producer, Marlowe has made minor progress on a new script.

"Heck, he's started a thousand scripts," the MP rep continued. "Who knows if this one will be completed."

Stay tuned to Happening for further developments.

Is That a McGregor Tartan? Take It Off So I Can Get a Good Look!

Movie goers are celebrating the posting of new films on the HTG release calendar. With gaps in the schedule, each new production is reason to toss some confetti.

Among the newly scheduled films is Untitled. Set for May, the plot of the movie has yet to be announced. But an HTG Hollywood insider has already clued us to what it may be about.

"Summer releases are heating up" explained the movie source. "That means stuff for the younger viewers. I hear Untitled is a wild teen comedy. It should include at least a couple currently popular talents. And, if the studio's smart, there should be a cute dog. Everyone loves cute dogs, right?"

Although not confirmed, the staff at Happening will assume this is correct until otherwise stated by the studio. Anyone with information concerning Untitled should contact this news source.

It's a Lucky Guess Department

One of the disadvantages of a last-minute film scheduling is that it's difficult to build buzz for the show. With the opening of World of Wrestling: Mania only days away, will Possum Lodge Studios have enough time to build excitement for the film?

The content of the presentation will apparently include time with the wrestlers involved in Wrestlemania 31. This has come to the attention of one resident of HTG Hollywood, who has high expectations.

"I've been advocating the involvement of 'shorter' wrestlers for years" explained a commenter who wished to remain anonymous. "I've received little, if anything, for my hopes. I didn't see Wrestlemania 31 [which occurred last weekend]. If they had a match with smaller wrestlers, and Lucian covers it in his documentary, I'll give the thing an 11!"

The citizen was asked which diminutive grapplers he was looking forward to.

"I'd really like to see footage of Hornswoggle versus Vicious Shark" the resident answered. "It would be a classic match. A guy in a leprechaun outfit against a fella in a shark costume? Man, that would rule."

With under a week left to promote the documentary, wrestling fans are eager to see what will be covered.

World of Wrestling: Mania opens on Friday the 10th.

I Guess The Rock Would Rather Lip Sync Than Wrestle

The production of fine events is not the easiest of tasks. Sometimes it takes a try or to for a successful show to be given. Such is the case of TCW Hotter Than Hell Part II. Due to some difficulties presented, the wrestling event is being postponed.

The good news, however, is that wrestling junkies will have a substitute on April 10 to satisfy their cravings. Possum Lodge Studios will be presenting World of Wrestling: Mania, a documentary on the production of Wrestlemania 31. The setup and execution of last weekend's event will be discussed.

"As long as they show some of the matches, I'll be fine with it" a fan commented. "I can wait for HTH Part II... as long as I don't have to wait too long! I really want to see Tommy Boy get his sack handed to him."

The documentary World of Wrestling: Mania is now in buzz. Don't forget to vote!

He Might Not Be Cooking, But At Least He's Eating Healthy

Groans traveled through the sea of wrestling fans in HTG Hollywood on Wednesday when it was announced that there might be a delay with TCW: Hotter Than Hell II, the newest grappling event from Ship of Fooles Productions. Although the likelihood of the show going on, event chief Lucian Carter warned of the possibility. A final decision is said to be made by Friday.

But, wrestling fans ask, why the possible delay? According to an inside source, it may be due to the schedule of the man on the poster, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The rumor is that Johnson is still heavily involved in promotion for Furious 7. Time for his preparation and participation might not be enough. And a substitute of his magnitude has not been located.

Granted, this is heresay, but from a reliable source. Without The Rock on the ticket, who else could manage to draw viewers?

"I'd pay good money to see someone beat the you-know-what out of Justin Bieber. He thinks he's all that," stated one fan visiting a local theatre.

"They could have Hacksaw Jim Duggan wave the flag around and go 'Whoooa!' for half an hour," theorized another.

Tommy Cornell versus Ricky Dale Johnson is advertised as the main event for the championship. Hopefully, Lucian will be able to give a thumbs up to April 10.

"I'll be there, no matter who's wrestling!" screamed an excited fan.

He's That One, Right?

More news has surfaced concerning the upcoming sci-fi thriller from Flip Brothers Studios, They Came From Planet Earth. Producer PJ Flip has leaked a list of possible talents to appear in the movie. Among them are actors Bill Pullman and Bill Paxton. However, the Flips have yet to address the following concern... Which Bill is which?

It's a sad truth that many residents of HTG Hollywood cannot tell the difference between the two. Pullman last appeared in HTG in 2011's Camp Quad. Paxton was last seen in last year's Energy Run in a cameo. Despite having credentials, the two men often confuse movie goers.

An online test to challenge the knowledge of the actors was recently presented to viewers at a local cinema. Although some did well on the brief test, many did not.

"I coulda sworn Bill Pullman was in Land of the Lost" declared one test taker.

No clue as to when the final cast of They Came From Planet Earth will be completed. The film is set to release in May.
